Buddies!

It took a while but we finally feel like we have some great buddies here in Lake Charles!

Grayson...who Taylor refers to as 'School Grayson' since they go to school together and to distinguish him from another buddy named Grayson.

The Trappey's moved in across the street from us in August and George and Charlie were an answer to Taylor's prayers...neighborhood buddies!

Alligator

We had our first gator siting in our backyard a few weeks ago. He was about 7 ft. and hung out across the bayou from our yard for about 5 days.

Fall First's Week

We've had lots of first's in the last week! Tennis clinic, soccer practice and best of all...school!!!

He loves tennis clinic and is doing great!

We're playing on the Tigers! Still not sure he understands the concept of this one...

Sister was DETERMINED to join everyone's soccer practice.

First Day of School! He's in Pre-K 3 at Poise 'N Ivy and in Ms. Dena's class. He was super excited to get to school and meet some buddies. He's going Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-11:30.

Also, Mommy's first day of crazy carpool lines (what BB always referred to as 'the idiot circle'). Taylor is holding our carpool tag for the dash.

And definitely a first, we had two baby raccoons seeking refuge from...Sassy, I guess...on one of the window sills outside the living room. They played in front of the window all day...it was like having a zoo exhibit in our living room. The wildlife adventures never cease here on the bayou...

Cousin Steven's Wedding

Taylor was a ring bearer in my cousin Steven's wedding last weekend. He looked super handsome in his tux and did an awesome job. It was fun to spend time with family and friends in Dallas!

Pacific Northwest Trip

Wow...what an awesome and action-packed trip! We started out in Portland for several days. Then flew to San Francisco for Paul and Kelly's wedding in Lafayette. Drove up to Mill Valley for lunch with family. Then on to the wine country for about 36 hrs of family time, just us 4. An awesome trip and lots of great memories for all!

Sister's 1st 1st birthday party!

The first in what will be a series of parties was tonight...just our little 4-some. Taylor was very excited he picked out a princess baseball bat and ball for her. He was SURE she would love it and that he would pitch her the ball and she would hit it with her new bat. Cake smashing and all...a super fun family night!

Week with the Lowden girls!

We had Brooke, Aspen, Presley and Peyton all last week and it was awesome! The big kids went to art camp 1/2 the day and we stayed busy swimming, fishing, playgrounds, gymnastics class...the kids were all great and Brooke and I even got to go out one night.
